A nurse will administer special eyedrops to make your eyes numb. You won't be given a general anesthesia - you'll be awake during the entire procedure. Click here if you wish to review the procedure again.   After a few minutes you'll be directed to the Excimer Laser operating table. This is what it looks like: The surgery takes about 5 minutes per eye. This is what Dr. Astudillo sees... ...and this is how the laser's red light will appear to you...it is a beautiful light show! When the procedure is finished you'll be seated for a brief period of observation.
